Selecting the right product for your wall is involves a few simple steps.
STEP ONE – MAXIMUM WALL HEIGHT
Each Anchor Wall product has a different retaining capacity.
Smaller walling stones have a lower capacity than some of the larger walling stones in the range. The maximum height for each stone type determines the highest wall height allowed for that product, and must not be exceeded.
The maximum wall height is the measurement from the top of the ground immediately in front of the wall, to the top of the last walling stone (not the cap, if a cap is being used) – as shown in the diagram opposite.
You need to find the point along your wall at which this measurement will be the greatest – this is your maximum wall height. This measurement should be in mm.
STEP TWO – WHICH PRODUCTS ARE SUITABLE
Using the table opposite, find your maximum wall height (in mm) in the column on the left.
Any of the products shown in the column to the right of your maximum wall height will have the capacity you need to build a successful retaining wall, and provided they are constructed in accordance to our instructions, they will perform satisfactorily for many, many years to come.
If your maximum wall height and product choice advises you to contact us for design assistance, then this simply means that this product can be used, but will require us to advise you (or your installer) on how it should be constructed with additional reinforcement to satisfactorily meet your requirements.
Because the requirements of every wall will be unique, we will need some basic information from you on things like how you intend to locate the wall, the heights involved and the ground conditions in which it is being used to enable the wall to be designed for you. This is a simple and painless process – so feel free to contact us with your requirements.
