title
Just as its name implies, the Anchor Landmark retaining wall system sets a new standard for challenging retaining wall projects. A unique vertical appearance provides the aesthetic appeal architects and owners demand. But the real strength of the Anchor Landmark system is what you won’t see – a mechanical connection featuring Zero Normal Load (ZNL)™ technology.

Another feature unique to the Landmark system is the incorporation of a horizontal core enabling the use of structural steel in the face for structural anchorage. This makes the Landmark units an excellent choice as a facing system for soil nail and tieback applications where excavation for reinforcement placement is not possible. title

SYSTEM

Every segmental retaining wall needs a good foundation and Landmark is no exception. In fact, because Landmark is used in such onerous situations where most other wall systems could not even be considered, Landmark has a specially designed foundation unit to start the wall.

Each Landmark unit has a specially formed receiving channel on its top face. On the bottom, the full and half height units have a locating key which engages with the channel on the block below – the block is placed down vertically and then slotted forwards to make a strong connection with excellent shear resistance between successive units.

At elevations where geosynthetic reinforcement is required, this is first laid over the receiving channel and then a purpose engineered lock bar is inserted to create a secure connection between block and reinforcement that performs independently of normal load.
